I'm very fortunate to have some smart, compassionate and logical friends who have put in hours of 1-to-1 chats with me so that's been really helpful (and free!) Thanks for your input though Carol! I do appreciate it.Yoginihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09483919150641771008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4499398322302495158.post-70773312173411003962012-07-18T03:37:37.398+02:002012-07-18T03:37:37.398+02:00Drugs can be helpful be it's weird advice to r...Drugs can be helpful be it's weird advice to recommend that instead of therapy. I think that it's pretty widely accepted that the combo of both is by far the most beneficial when meds are warranted. I am a big believer in talk therapy (provided you can find someone who's good that you like - always critical) and have learned much from it and overall just benefited tremendously.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06954595575931726418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4499398322302495158.post-53567231736560360742012-07-12T22:21:43.288+02:002012-07-12T22:21:43.288+02:00Thanks for the support Carol. I will get through this one way or another (at least that's the hope).Yoginihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09483919150641771008noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4499398322302495158.post-73399558750317530592012-07-10T16:09:18.008+02:002012-07-10T16:09:18.008+02:00Hey - it sounds like you are looking for an academ...Hey - it sounds like you are looking for an academic job, perhaps? which is extremely stressful. It also sounds like you are depressed.

Based on my own experience with both, I'd strongly urge you to consider discarding the paradigm expressed in your last paragraph (rein in the emotional best, become more self-disciplined, stop being a brat) in favor giving yourself more love, compassion, and support - from both yourself to yourself, and from friends, and from a good therapist, if you can afford it. Good luck & best wishes.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06954595575931726418noreply@blogger.com
